Christian Students of Integrity!  05-06

WaZ  sup WiT DaT?

WORD UP is our main goal this year; to ‘fill up’ on God’s Word  the Sword of the Spirit.  It is one thing to say you are a part of a youth group called Christian Students of Integrity and not do anything to maintain your integrity.  When we speak of integrity we refer to the possession of firm Biblical principles, the quality of possessing and steadfastly adhering to godly, moral principles and standards.  The possession of these principles depends upon the filling up on God’s Holy Word.

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put  on the full armor of God, so that you will be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against  the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, take up the full armor of God, so that you will be able to resist in the evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. Stand firm therefore, HAVING  GIRDED YOUR LOINS WITH TRUTH, and HAVING PUT ON THE BREASTPLATE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, and having shod YOUR FEET WITH THE PREPARATION OF THE GOSPEL OF PEACE; in addition to all, taking up the shield of faith with which you will be able to extinguish all the flaming  arrows of the evil one. And take THE HELMET OF SALVATION, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.  Our only offensive piece of armor is the sword and if it isn’t wielded properly with skill and confidence it will do us no good.  But above all we have to remember to take the sword and that requires our time spent studying it and training in its proper use.  Without studying we will have no sword to take!

This year we are memorizing, studying and meditating more Scripture than ever, not just single verses but two, three and more working up to passages.  We must battle our enemy just as Jesus did, with the Word of God!

Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful. 1Cor. 4:2  We are stewards of God’s Gospel and it is our obligation to remain faithful to Him and His Word.

Believing firmly in Christ and the message of the Gospel is our call and our duty.  We want to be consistently trustworthy and loyal, especially to God!  This is no time to wear the Christian mask while at church or when in the company of people who know we claim to be Christians and then switch masks when at school, hanging out with friends etc.  Hey, we’re remaining faithful and committed to Christ we’re out of the closet Christians.  Why should we hide when we’re supposed to be the light of the world.  There’s no hiding under the bushel or in the closet.  We have nothing to be ashamed of, we represent the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.  He deserves our allegiance and loyalty so give it up!

How can we do that?

· Make sure you are faithful in your church attendance (Sunday School, Worship services, Bible study)

· Speak about God, don’t exclude Him from your conversations.

· Keep your appointments with God during daily devotions/quiet time.  Get to know Him better.

The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.   Proverbs 11:30  And the lord said unto the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in, that my house may be filled. Luke 14:23

God is not willing that any should be lost, He commands us to go out and compel the lost to come in from the world to His banquet.  We must make them see the urgency of coming to the Lord to be saved!  We all have family members, friends, classmates, acquaintances, neighbors who are not saved and are condemned to eternity separated from God in a place called Hell.  It’s up to us to speak up for God and show them that Jesus is THE Way, THE Truth and THE Light, no one can enter Heaven unless they trust Jesus as Savior.  Sin is the problem, Jesus is the answer and we know it…share it!  If we are diligent in doing these things this year we will truly be      C.S. I.-Christian Students of Integrity!
